Gmail’s Smart Reply

Ever get tired of typing responses to emails? Well, Google’s got you covered. This article from the Washington Post tells about a new feature on Google’s gmail app. Last week, users could use smart reply, a feature that gives automatic responses to an email. Gmail uses algorithms and scans your email to suggest appropriate responses. Right now, the feature isn’t perfect. AI isn’t able to detect jokes, or hidden meanings, so sometimes the response doesn’t make sense in the context.

When I read the article, I thought it was creepy and scary how Gmail could respond to your emails for you. Although the article says that no one from Google is reading your email and that users can turn off the feature, the whole idea still creeps me out. But it does bring up another question. Is letting AI respond to you emails for you respectful to the original sender? And are we becoming so lazy that we don’t want to communicate with each other? Or is this just an incredibly convenient feature? I chose this story because I thought it reported on a relevant topic.

Snaps No Longer Have To Disapper After 10 Seconds

Snapchat users have a new "infinity" timer so that their friends can see the post as long as they want. Along with that, if you tap the "looping" icon after taking a video snap it will replay repeatedly until your friend closes it or goes to another post on your Snapchat Story. Tools will now show up vertically along the right-hand side of the screen (rather than appearing horizontally on the top right). Snapchat said this format will allow the company to add more creative tools to that space in the future.

I chose this story because I love snapchat and I always get upset becauseI have to click it over and over again to get a good view on what it is, and now I can get a good view on what it is.

The Next Step in Automation? A Robot That Picks Apples

The article about this awesome new apple picking robot is very interesting. The company, Abundant Robotics, created a robot that picks apples. The inspiration for this robot came from the current “political landscape.”Many people are worried that there won’t be enough immigrant workers to pick apples. If there are not enough workers, many apples could not be sold if they weren't picked. So, Abundant Robotics created a machine that can identify, pluck, and place apples into a bin at the same speed that a human could. Although, a robot does not need to eat or sleep so it can work more than humans can. The company hopes to see these machines in orchards over the next few years. I believe that these machines are a very good idea and that in the future, every apple orchard will have them.

Experts see possible North Korea links to global cyberattac

http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/wireStory/expert-finds-north-korea-links-ransomware-attack-47432498

Cybersecurity experts are pointing to North Korea for the worldwide ransomware attacks. This is because the way the hackers took hostage computers and servers across the world was alike in the ways of previous attacks from North Korea. Simon Choi, the director at South Korean anti-virus company claims that North Korea has been mining the digital money using malicious computer programs. During the attack, the believed-to-be North Korean hackers, demanded payment from victims in bitcoins to regain access to code computers. Simon Choi is one of a number of researchers around the world who has suggested a possible link between the "ransomware" known as Wanna Cry and hackers linked to North Korea. Although the evidence of the possible cyber attack from North Korea is still far from being concluded, Choi's speculation may deepen suspicions that the nuclear-armed state is responsible.

I chose this story because computers and software interest me, and the world aside from ours does as well.

The best way to clean your phone

I read the article “Whoosh the easiest, quickest way to clean your gadget screens” it is about how dirty your phones really are. Many people take their phone everywhere, because of this their phones are exposed to bacteria and germs, which makes them very dirty. The Whoosh screen shine kit makes your phone germ and bacteria free, it also comes in a case that you can reuse with 1 ounce of spray. Instead of spraying onto the actual phone you spray it on the cloth then wipe it on the phone.

One reason I chose this article to read is because I’m one of those people who carry my phone around everywhere I go, and now that I know my phone is very dirty I was very intrigued about learning how to clean it. I found it very interesting that your phone is dirtier than a toilet seat. I found this on http://www.imore.com/whoosh-easiest-quickest-way-clean-your-gadget-screens.

Chinese internet giant Tencent is building an eSports park

Tencent is a very big game center in China and they currently announced that it was going to create a “esports-themed industrial park”. It’ll include a gaming university, culture and creative park, Tencent cloud technology business community, animation industry park, creative neighborhood, and Tencent cloud data center. I found this interesting because this game center seems like a very fun park and I play Tencent a lot so I really trust them to make a really fun park for their gamers.

What We Know About "Project Valerie"

This was an interesting story about how PC gaming company “Razer” is working on a new computer called “Project Valerie,” what computer software it will have, its resolution, and all in all how it’s being made. It was saying stuff like how it could and would change the way computers/laptops are made. Its purpose is “to give gamers the ability to use multiple monitors without having to deal with a rat’s nest of wires on their desks.”

I chose this very interesting story because I love gaming and computers/consoles. It really shows how much we’ve improved from the “ENIAC” computer till now, with the Valerie. That’s why I chose this. The reason why I found this interesting is because like I said earlier I love gaming and computers/consoles. I’ve also always wanted one of the best gaming computers out there, but alas I will have to wait a while and save up money until then.

TopHatter

The TopHatter “scam” is a website, an auction website. Basically what TopHatter does is when they sell something for an INSANE deal, at least what is seems to be. When you get your product is i VERY off-brand for example they sell fit-bit like things for around $10 (which can not be real)

Here are a few examples of the reviews that they receive.
‘I think it is extremely unfair that a shipper sends me wrong item, but then wants me to pay $70.00 to return to China(because you need a tracking number). They refunded me $9.00. I would expect they would send me for free the item I actually ordered. I believe this shipper is scamming people by sending an ugly version of what I ordered’

‘If you are buying technical items, do not expect any assistance to resolve a problem.

NO supplier assistance is available, and the only option offered is the return of the goods. Instructions can be minimal, and incomplete, making it impossible to resolve what might be just a simple procedural problem. As the cost of returning the item is often prohibitive, it just leaves you frustrated and out of pocket.’

‘This place is such a scam oh my goodness you have no idea, they cancelled my order just because they didn't like my winning bid and all their auction quality is completely false.

Then they sent a private message that says the seller isn't allowed to cancel and order just because they don't like the price. But they let it happen always, they just don't like people making reviews about it.’

So basically what I am saying is they are trying to scam people in ANY way possible even not accepting the winning price and taking the auction off from the market when there was already a bidder who actually won. That is just one of the many examples

I don't know if you can see that very clearly but there is a drone for $21 when the real value is $1299 I don't know about you, but that seems like a fine scam.

Instagram adds face filters

Instagram is competing with Snapchat for viewers and buyers. So with that Instagram is adding almost everything that Snapchat has plus the Instagram features. The reason they added this feature to Instagram is because on Snapchat the “World Lenses” blown up and brought more people to Snapchat and took viewers from Instagram.

I find this article is interesting because I use both Instagram and Snapchat. After I read this I realized that Instagram completely copied Snapchat with the world lenses. Now people are starting to use Snapchat less than Instagram because of all the changes Instagram are making.

The Antikythera mechanism

Was this ancient Greek invention, built 2,000 years ago the ……..genesis of the mechanical computer?

115 years ago a group of divers searching for mediterranean sea sponges came across a 2,000 years old Greek ship wreckage of the coast of the Greek island of Antikythera(An-tee-Ky-thair-ra) it was among this wreck that something peculiar came up, an array of brass gears and dials in a mantel clock sized rotting wood case. This oddity was dubbed the “Antikythera Mechanism” by Archaeologists, now it may look like a piece of debris or a rusted old porthole door, but in fact it is a genius piece of machinery, and possibly the first mechanical computer!

How does this piece of ancient technology work? Essentially, when you set the main gear to the present calendar date the smaller gears(representing the sun, Moon and stars) will move and get approximations for where those celestial objects would be in the sky on said date.

So that’s essentially what the Antikythera mechanism is, so what do I think? As a fan of Greco Roman history this instantly interested me, yet I do not claim to be an expert on the subject as I prefer Greco Roman Warfare and Mythology over their technology so I don’t have any past knowledge to make a solid gauge of how much more advanced this is compared to other Greek technology. Now even though I say this, the Antikythera Mechanism does remind me of one thing, Archimedes, he was a great Greek inventor who supposedly invented a giant crane to raise ships out of the water, and a heat ray using mirrors, and the sun. Now this level of beyond the times technology seems quite reminiscent of the Antikythera Mechanism.

I greatly Over paraphrased this unbelievable piece of technology, here's a link to the original source(https://www.vox.com/science-and-health/2017/5/17/15646450/antikythera-mechanism-greek-computer-astronomy-google-doodle)

If you found this interesting or have your own opinion on the A.mechanism please leave a comment!

Pokemon Go

Pokemon Go Migration

I found this story really interesting because I used to play Pokemon Go. I also chose it because I wanted to know what a Pokemon migration was. The passage explains that a nest is a place where similar Pokemon keep spawning in the same general area. Later, it states a nest migration is when better Pokemon show up and spawn for short period of time. A migration happens every two weeks. The story also proves why it is useful and important to expand your Pokedex. It is to catch special Pokemon, collect candy, and increases odds of Pokemon you need. Not all Pokemon have nests though. The rare Pokemon hatched from good eggs will not be included, such as Lapras and Snorlax.

Mobile ZELDA

What I read was that Zelda was coming to mobile. The owner of Nintendo said that there is planning to make a Zelda game on mobile. There is no official release date but it will probably come out in 2018. In April Tatsumi Kimishima said there are three or two mobile games planned.

People are very excited about the games that are going to come out on mobile. But they don’t want the game to be half done and people were saying that they would rather pay a couple dollars for a good complete game.

WannaCry Ransomware Hacking

In the story, it says that a ransomware, called Wanna Cry, infected many computers and businesses. It explains how the ransomware infected the computers and why the strategy is so effective. Ransomware attacks

Wannacry ransomware is the largest ransomware attack ever. It has claimed over 200,000 victims in over 150 countries across the world. Computers that have been attacked by ransomware become locked and the users must pay $300 in Bitcoin for encrypting their files. If they don’t pay the money in three days it will become $600, and if they don’t pay it in a week they are threatened that their files could be forever deleted.

I found this story extremely interesting because I have always had an interest in most things that have to do with computers. So naturally, I found it really interesting. Especially, since it was about the biggest ransomware attack. If you want to find out more, visit this site.

WannaCry-Possible links

I’m sure you have heard about the WannaCry ransomware attack, but did you know that it has possible links to North Korea? Cybersecurity researchers are working furiously to try and find the culprits. They have linked WannaCry with a group called Lazarus. Lazarus is a group of cyber attackers that has already been in speculation for other cyber attacks in the past. Lazarus is believed to have connections to North Korea. The investigation started when a Google researcher posted a weird string of characters. That string of characters in now known to be two separate pieces of code. One is from WannaCry and the other was from the Lazarus group. The two strings of code were analyzed and researchers have found many similarities between the two samples of code. This suggests that they were written by a similar group of people. Researchers have also found similarities in code between other versions of WannaCry and different Lazarus attacks. While some may think this is a hoax to lead Cybersecurity analysts in the wrong direction, there is very strong evidence that disproves that theory. While technically anything or anyone is possible, this investigation seems very promising. To read more about WannaCry and its possible links, visit http://www.zdnet.com/article/ransomware-attack-may-have-a-north-korean-link-say-security-researchers/.

The iPhone 7 Red

Hey, iPhones have been around for 10 years now, and a lot of people love them- the new size, style, or features- and now they have come out with the iPhone 7 Red. If you do not know about this, this phone is more expensive than the other $650 iPhone 7s and runs for $870. The extra money goes to Global Fund to support HIV/AIDS programs. The red color is meant to represent the company RED they are working with, but their phone is the same as all of the others. Some fans are disagreeing on if this phone is truly worth it- one side complains about the coloring since that is the only difference in the phone or would still much rather have their current phone. The loving side says that the phone is a good thing for charity and is worth some extra dollars, and they love the Canadian colors! Personally, I would rather get the red So I ask you, what would you chose and why? Project Valerie

Have you ever pictured dragging your desktop computer everywhere you go? Yeah. It sucks. But this invention may just change that.

Introducing Project Valerie by Razer. This laptop is quite literally a desktop that folds in three directions. Here is why this is awesome.

According to Razer, the three screens can show a full sized screen, with mass support. The screens, however, can fold into one to just be one small screen, like most laptops. Also, the screens can be split! (Also 4k!)

“Imagine the abilities of Game Development,” Min-Liang Tan, the CEO of Razer comments. “The ability to play on one screen, watch a tutorial on another, and on the third see all the code is Revolutionary.”

This project is still not available quite yet, but Razer sees it being released either late 2017 - 2018, for a price that is somewhere between $4k and $6.5k

Pirates Pirate Pirates of the Caribbean

Pirates Pirate the New Pirates of the Caribbean Movie

Pirates pirate Pirates of the Caribbean. How ironic is that? Well, hackers have claimed that they have taken the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean movie. They are demanding that Disney has to pay a ransom, or else they will post it online, which has gotten quite a shocker. There is not proof that hackers have stolen a copy of the new Pirate movie, but a similar thing happen a little while ago when hackers took the upcoming season of Orange is The New Black and released it online. The hackers have requested a large sum of money from Disney. Disney, who has begun to work with the FBI, are refusing to pay the money. The movies hackers will hopefully be found soon and the movie will be released on its original release date, May 26th. Let's hope that it happens!

A Car Vending Machine

I had read about this 150 foot tall “Car Vending Machine” in Singapore. This vending machine is filled with Lamborghini other super cars. Also cars that are normal or daily drivers really anything you desire. This “vending machine” is not like you give it a dollar and get a car. It's more like you can order it online and pick it up in one of these tower like structures. What was interesting about this article is that it had and video help further explain the article and why these cars are this this 150 foot “vending machine”. It was simply because of space purposes that it's easier in big cities to have a tower instead of an acre of building and cars like a normal car lot. But if you are interested to read more about you can visit the site by clicking this link.

http://money.cnn.com/2017/05/16/news/sports-car-vending-machine-singapore/index.html

I thought this article was very very interesting that technology has come this far to that you can order a car and pick it up in a “vending Machine”. I have also heard of parking garages that it takes your up an elevator like thing and when come back you swipe your card and it brings it back. I think this is a great way to have more space in cities but also think it's kind of crazy to think that your car gets taken 150 feet up into a building without someone driving it. I really think this is the future and it's a crazy but smart way to save space in cities.

The Best Iphone

There have been many debates about what phone is the best phone. The answer is the Jet black 128gb Iphone 7 plus. The Iphone 7 has all the new features that Apple has to offer. The jet black color is the newest color Apple has, and 128 is one of the biggest phones Apple has storage wise. The 7 plus is the biggest Iphone Apple has in size. If you are looking for a phone, this is the way to go. I found this at http://www.imore.com/best-iphone

The waterproof drone for fishing

You may soon be able to use drones to catch fish.

Superman had better watch out. Not for birds or planes, but for RC Drones. These aerial travelers have taken over the air space. It’s a bird…it’s a plane…no it’s AquaDrome. Of course drones have kryptonite that will ruin the entire system and that is water. You can now fix that with the new AquaDrone this is waterproof drone that can help you catch fish. I liked this, because I like fishing and I think this will also help out the drone industry. I found this interesting, because it shows how drones have grown through the years and now they’re waterproof. I choose this site because I thought it explained the thing they are presenting pretty well.

An Apple Picking Robot?

Due to recent changes in america the immigrant policy has left many worried that there will not be enough immigrant workers. Without immigrant workers the US is facing food shortages. Could robots solve the problem? Use of these robots can increase production and save money. Without workers we don't have to worry about food or pay. Are these robots a good thing?

Do You Wanna Ride a Flying Car?

Companies have developed a flying car in 2014, but it was not available for pre-order until now. To drive this car you will need a driver's license and a pilot’s license. This isn’t the first design of the flying car concept : Airbus and Italdesign debuted the Pop, earlier this year. As more flying car concepts are developed, people wonder, “Aren’t these just smaller planes with wheels?”

I chose this story because I found it interesting that people are now developing flying cars which is really unbelievable. I decided to write it so others can see how cool it is to own a flying car.

Wireless earbuds?

Have you ever wondered what wireless earbuds would be like? Now, apple has created what are called “Air pods”. Air pods are wireless earbuds that are chargeable and connect directly to your apple devices. The pods turn on when you put them in your ears, and they turn off when you take them out of your ears. They are life changing devices. If you want to skip a song or change the volume, you can double tap the pods to talk to siri. I think Air Pods are very useful. Will Google kill Siri and replace it with Euphrates?

This article is about how google wants to make a Virtual reality reader. They want to get rid of Siri and replace it with a software called Euphrates. Euphrates is a software where you can broadcast what you see in virtual reality on Comcast or a T.V. I chose this story because I hate Siri because she doesn’t understand any of my commands. I find this interesting because it is cool if you can transport what you can broadcast what you can see on a Vr reader on a T.V so it can be interactive. I found this information on http://money.cnn.com/2017/05/18/technology/gadgets/google-vr-updates/index.html

A robot that picks apples

A robot that picks apple. This is a pro and a con but. You are probably thinking what that is not possible. But what if I told you it is. This is a device that has the same speed as humans that pick apples. And puts them in a carton that is the same that we use. It Can detect if there are tree branches Twigs leaves and etc in the way. They pick them gently that a human would. The process in which it goes through to pick the apples. Is it checks the apples sees if it is good. And puts them in the cartin. But there is also a conflict with this. People that work there that pick the apples. Will lose their jobs and will have no job because a robot has taken it. And this is why I think it is a pro and a con.

Netflix is no longer available for your rooted Android phone

Why can you have netflix on an android phone? Is it because its a different than an Iphone? There is no reason that they shouldn't let people use the common phone called android. They are basically getting rid of half of their company. What about the people that watch netflix on tv on tv are they being blocked too. A lot of people are getting very mad because they can't use one of the best thing to watch movies on. Have you noticed that you suddenly can't (officially) download the Netflix app to your rooted Android phone? Netflix has confirmed that its app is no longer visible on Google Play to anyone with a device that is "not Google-certified or [has] been altered." A spokesperson tells the android police that its just it's all about a shift in copy protection. All kinds of devices should be able to watch netflix, I have a android phone and I had netflix. Don't get me wrong I payed for a subscription and i got to watch all the movies that I wanted too, but then I opened up netflix and it told me that this app is no longer available. WHAT!!!!!!! I was so mad about that there was a new movie that I really wanted to watch. I'm not doing this to trash netflix, i'm doing this to start awareness that they shouldn't have banned it from android devices. Android is the type of technology that created netflix I personally don't think that this is ok I love to watch netflix, I don't think that anyone that has the android type of phone thinks that this is ok.

I have heard that this is being banned from Android from other friends that this happened and they don't seem happy about this. A lot of the people that have this app have android phones. This again is not me saying that i dislike netflix, this is me saying that they shouldn't have done this.

Flying Car?

Have you ever wanted a hovering car? Well we are not there yet. BUT, we have a working flying car! It can fly and drive! It is available for pre-order, for $1.3 million! However that’s not the only setback, you also need a pilot's license. It sounds amazing, “But if you think about it, they are just planes with wheels.” Says the article. I don't think so because they must have sized it down so much that it fits on a road, and given it the software of a car. It’s engine is also environment friendly, pretty amazing, isn’t it? A buyers guide to fitness trackers

This guide for buying objects like apple watches and fitbits is a very helpful link full of information about researching how these things work before you spend around $150. I chose this story because this is something that someone in their everyday life could use and save money while trying to find shop for something that they might like more. Some tricks that this story mentions are don't buy a fitness tracker with features that you won need or use, also that you shouldn't overestimate the easy design of the object that you are potentially going to buy. There is one other question that is definitely that is the most asked question, “which one should I buy?”. When you are thinking about buying a fitness tracker, you should think about what qualities would you want in your device, and look at all the options and think about which is right for you? Before you go to the store and buy your device, make sure to research and figure out which one is right for you and your money.

Anti-Drone "ForceField

Prisons have had some issues with drones, the owner of the drone would fly the drone into the prisons and deliver something bad to the inmates like drugs. The prisons security would have to wait until the drones would crash or until they find the operator. Except, two British companies have started to make a force field called the Sky Fence. The Sky Fence is a large wall that climbs up to 2,000 feet high that is invisible. Richard Gill the CEO, explained that the Sky Fence wouldn’t make the drone crash, because that could really injure someone, the force field would just make the drone bounce back out of the prison. The operator’s screen for the drone would go black, and they couldn’t control it. One of the prisons have this Sky Fence for defense, they are the first in the world to have it.

I liked this article about the drones and the “Sky Fence” because I have heard in the news that drones have been doing things bad. But I know now that people are trying to find out a ways to block out drones. I found this interesting because I didn’t think that prisons would worry about this because of all the security that they have.

What We Know about Microsoft's "Project Scorpio"

This story about the new Xbox “Project Scorpio” interested me. Although the Scorpio hasn’t been released yet, there are some things that we know about the console.

The Scorpio will be supposedly the most powerful console ever. The Xbox One has 1.3 teraflops of power and a theoretical maximum memory band width of 200GB/s. However, the Scorpio is said to have 6 teraflops of power and 320GB/s of memory band width. The Project Scorpio team is also aiming for 4K UHD quality. This would make the console 4.5 more powerful than the Xbox One.

Also, the team announced that the Project Scorpio will be capable of playing VR games. The Acer virtually reality headset is the first of many partners with the Scorpio.

Additionally, the Scorpio will be backwards and forwards compatible with the Xbox One. There won’t be any Scorpio exclusive games apart from VR, although some games will download different assets if it sees that it is being downloaded onto the Scorpio.

I found this interesting because I have the Xbox One and I am very curious in how Microsoft plans to continue the Xbox consoles.

Those are just few of the many things that we know about the Scorpio. To read more, visit http://www.windowscentral.com/project-scorpio.

wannacry

As you may know may know a hacker attack happened only weeks ago. The hacker organization asked for money and would not release your computer from the virus until you payed up,not to mention the price goes up every hour. The attackers wanted something bitcoins an online currency but why, you see with credit cards you're able to know who who has been using it thus being able to track and capture the hacker group wannacry, but with bitcoins it's like going in a store with a morph suit and paying in cash no one can know its you. That way with the money they get they can buy things and no one will get suspicious or have any evidence it was them. Just one bitcoin costs 1,830 but after the attack they dropped down to roughly 1,630. So have 1 bitcoin is impressive now imagine if 200,000 people were robbed of multiple bitcoins.

Ransomware

Ransomware is a virus the effects the Windows software and it takes over your files on your computer. To quote “Get Files Back” It makes you pay the virus owner ,WannaCry, Bitcoins to get files back. Ransomware also says that without payment in 3 days the price to get your files back raises. This virus has affected over tens of thousands of computers and over 112 countries. Europe is the hardest hit and this happened because there is a higher percentage of people who are not running a legal Windows software which they can be affected easier. The Reason that this virus can get to you is a hole in the coding of windows 10 that the virus effects. Although Microsoft has released a patch on March 14 to fix this hole in the coding many computers are still being affected. To fix this if your computer has automatic update then you should be fine, you can also get the patch on Microsoft's website.

Self Driving Cars

Self Driving cars are a huge step forward into the future. Yet the most brilliant minds in America have come together to achieve this great feat. Lyft and Waymo, two companies who have tried and failed at producing self driving cars, are now teaming up. With only one rival in there way to victory. Uber. Uber has seemed to have already mastered the self driving car industry. However minor setbacks will allow Lyft and Waymo to try to capitalize the industry with their new tech. District Judge William Alsup charges gave Waymo broad power to scrutinize Uber's program after finding evidence that Uber somehow stole Waymo’s self driving car plans. The charges state that a Waymo attorney and technical expert will be allowed to monitor Uber's ongoing business. They will also have the power to ask for a large number of documents that Uber has so far not handed over, including records of meetings, and phone calls with Anthony Levandowski, the engineer who took the documents. This is another major setback to Uber and a large leap forward for Lyft and Waymo.

I chose this article because just the thought of a self driving car excites me. And now seeing that two brilliant minds are teaming up brings us closer to the solution of self driving cars.

Google Home is Invading your Home

This a very cool and interesting story about the new technology called google home. The Google Home has been competing for Alexa and has come up with an idea. They are now making it able to connect to many different technologies such as a dishwasher, dryers, and ovens. The makers of the Roomba, vacuum, will slowly make the roombas functional with the Google Home. All of these appliances may even learn what ¨Hey Google¨ means.

I am very lazy and when I am comfortable I don't like getting up. With the new Google home improvements, it will be very easy to just give the system a command and have it do it. I think it is a great idea and that I may want to get one for myself. It may make people too lazy but I doubt it.

Smart Crib, Sno

A lot of parents who have newborns have restless nights trying to put their baby to sleep and make them stop crying. So, Dr. Harvey Karp teamed up with MIT engineers and designer Yves Behar to create the first smart and the safest crib yet. They called it the Snoo, a $1,150 smart sleeper. The crib includes a swaddle blanket to prevent the baby from rolling in to dangerous positions. Babies can die from these positions and in fact 3,500 babies die a year in there sleep. The crib also has three built in microphones which can detect baby’s cry. As soon a the microphones hear the baby wailing it will play a white noise machine depending on the cry, the softer the cry the softer the noise machine, but the louder the cry the louder the white noise machine. It also starts rocking the baby to help them fall back asleep. All you have to do to turn it on is press a small button at the bottom of the crib.

Toyota Wants Flying Cars!

Did you know that Toyota wants flying cars in time for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics? Toyota has been working on a vehicle that will soar 33 feet in the air at speeds up to 62 miles per hour. The “Skydrive” as Toyota calls it, is being worked on by 30 volunteers and they are aiming for it to be advertised by next year! The 9 and a half foot long car would be the “world’s smallest flying EV” (electric vehicle), and possibly the first commercialized flying car. Toyota has paid $353,000 for the engineers that are helping to create this car and invested a whopping $9.3 million on new technology. I believe that this idea of flying cars is very futuristic and a little bit scary, but I would love to be able to fly whenever I wanted! United Airlines Cockpit Codes Leaked

On Sunday, the airline wrote out to every employee saying that the cockpit codes were leaked due to a flight attendant who ‘accidentally’ leaked them online. An information leak can cause a higher risk of hijacking and danger to passengers or anyone boarding one of United Airlines flights. Most of the crew said that the event was accidental, but after reading this article, I think it was very much on purpose. I chose this article because it interests me when things are going smoothly, and then with one moment when something is posted online, you are compromising your company and job. The company had to go into panic and fix everything because the event could have made the plaine be hijacked and injure many people.

Google Home gets hands-free calling, visual notifications, and more!

This blog was really cool because, to me, it is a step up from the Amazon Echo. Alexa (Amazon Echo) only can do some favors, while the Google Home can read your texts, call people, etc. Google Home can even recognize companies like Logitech, IRobot, Stringify, and more! The Google Home also works with Youtube, Netflix, and Spotify.

I think it is very cool for Google to do that. Google may have copied Amazon a little bit, but definitely overtook them with stuff to do on it. Instead of telling Siri a million times because she can’t listen to your voice right, or unlocking your phone and wasting battery, you can just say “Hey Google, call ______.”

IPhone 8 Rumors

So, the iPhone 6 was cool right? So was the 7. But Have you ever wondered about the 8? Rumors have said that the new IPhone 8 is coming out and it’s going to be all new!

The IPhone 8 is going to be released in September of 2017 with new and special tweaks. It will most likely not have a plus but it will have more data and be more sophisticated. It is said to have an all new glass design with special and new adjustments like a new virtual top and bottom home button and less bezel on the sides. For colors, Apple can do whatever it wants with colors. It’s really up to them with that.

The IPhone & was water resistant but not water-proof. Having a water-proof phone would be helpful for underwater photography and video so the IPhone 8 will feature just that. Since mid 2015, wireless charging hadn’t existed. Now, it is rumored that all 2017 phones will have wireless charging spots. This would definitely be an upgrade and probably be much easier to work with. The IPhone 8 is yet to come in the apple IPhone universe. Nothing has been set in stone. We don’t know all of it’s secrets, but soon enough they will be unveiled to the world.

Why change the mouse that we know and love?

The ergonomic vertical mouse is a new design of mouse that is said to be better for you and your wrists. But do we really know if it works? Well you could try it out, but it's only $100 dollars for a regular table mouse is a steep price. Its claims it's the only one of its kind but i've personally seen other just like it and after trying it out I realized that my hand was uncomfortable and did not care for the mouse and went with a different one. It's not a bad mouse its quality is good but can be uncomfortable at time and looks strange, if you like the mouse though I would recommend it. Some good things about it are that it is wireless and might help some people but is just not for me. Why don't you give it a try?

IOS Drones

Hello fellow drone flyers. Today I will be talking about the best drones you can fly with your IOS Phone. The reason I picked this article is because I love to fly my drones. What I read was awesome. Some of the drones I read about come out of the box ready to be used with an iphone. One of the drones I read about is bigger than a human head, but can fold up into a pocket. Another drone I read about can go to a maximum speed of 36 mph. One actually comes with a vr headset. You control it by moving your head in the direction of the way you turn your head, and it comes with a camera on the bottom to watch where you’re going.

Siri Helps Injured Man by Exploding Cottage

A man named Christopher Beaucher went in his mother’s cottage, in Wilmot house, suddenly exploding! Christopher somehow could get to his Land Rover to reach for his phone. Conversely, he couldn’t dial 911 due to the burns of his fingers. As an alternative way of calling for help he asked Siri to do it to save his life! I chose to read this story because I understand that Siri can do a lot of amazing things, on the contrary, Siri most of the time or sometimes miss hears most of the things people say, specifically me which can get pretty annoying. In this serious situation this man was desperate for help and I found it interesting that Siri could hear him to call 911 to save his life! iphone 8 Problem

Hello dear Apple Companions i feel we need to talk about this. Is The iphone 8 really going to have a vertical camera. And is this really going to have no home button. But that's not it the iphone 8 leak also shows that after all the complaining, Apple still didn't put the headphone jack back in. Yeah after all the world of 2016 music lovers flipped out. Apple doesn't care. Thanks alot tim cook! We want steve jobs to come up from the ground and save apple from destruction. I miss the good old days when Jobs came on stage with jeans, black turtleneck sweater, and a pair of circle glasses.

Microsoft’s new classroom products!

Recently Microsoft released new products to help students in their classroom environments. They released a school-focused version of Windows, new features for Office and a new type of laptop for college students. It didn't show off flashy new software or an expensive new piece of hardware for consumers. Instead, it gathered journalists and analysts to talk about going back to school. I chose this article because I was interested in how Microsoft “takes aim at Apple and Google”. I found it interesting because Microsoft didn’t want to sell very expensive products, Microsoft just wanted to help improve classrooms.

Cyberattack Around The World!

The Latest: More US firms believed hit by cyberattack

A cyber attack has struck around the world and has affected more than 150 countries as of May 15, 2017. A virus called “Wanna Cry” has went into computers so that the computer would be affected. The whole purpose of the Wanna Cry virus is to get money. When a person opens up their computer, the screen will ask them to pay a lot of money to close up the screen. Interestingly, not many people accepted the fine and they usually just reported it. India was among the worst affected for this virus. The Wanna Cry virus is slowly dying down, but is still a trouble around the world.

I chose to blog about this story because of how serious it was. When I first read the site, I was so surprised that a virus could affect the whole world. I was also interested in the details of the website because the words were making me think that I was experiencing this. Overall I found this site very interesting.

Private Rocket Company May Launch Rocket

Usually private launch facilities don’t launch a rocket. They may help come up with the idea or build the rocket, but they don’t launch the rocket itself, unlike the Rocket Lab. This facility is planning to launch an electron rocket that will find information from near the Earth’s surface. It has 3D printed material and can carry over 329 pounds of cargo. They will be testing and fixing the rocket and will be launching it anywhere from May 21st 2017 to 10 days afterwards.

I thought this information was interesting because this rocket was the first ever rocket that will be launched from a private facility. This could be a good or bad thing in the future because if too many companies make rockets and launch them, they may run into each other in space and create an explosion or something bad. Although this could happen, this rocket facility is the first to launch from a private facility so there isn’t much worry for too much “rocket traffic”.

The Wannacry Ransomware

The WannaCry Ransomware was the largest ransomware. It attacked 200,000 people in over 150 countries. Businesses and organizations are also being targeted. Users were being locked out of their files. All that is left is a ransom for $300 in Bitcoin. If the ransom is not paid after three days the ransom doubles to $600 in Bitcoin. Victims are being threatened that their files will be deleted if the ransom is not met by the end of the week. So far only Window users have been attacked. In order to keep safe you shouldn't click on a website, email, and other places if you aren’t one hundred percent sure that their safe. The Authorities are searching for the people behind the WannaCry Ransomware.

Iphone 8

Iphone 8

Guess what, the new Iphone 8 is coming out! I know what you're thinking: I want it now! Well what if I told you it cost $999. Would you still want it, and what if I also told you that Apple is taking away the home button. I’m definitely not even thinking about buying one now. Also, if the regular Iphone 8 costs $999 what will the Iphone 8 plus cost, maybe they will not even have an Iphone 8 plus. It may not even be called the Iphone 8 because it’s the tenth anniversary Iphone. What if it is called the “Iphone X” that would be pretty cool, but the features I’m not looking forward to. I mean apple is taking away the home button, that is what makes Apple Apple. I’m just glad that once the Iphone 8 comes out the Iphone 7, 7 plus and maybe even 7s and 7s plus are still available to buy. The Texalyzer

Over 40,000 people died on the road from texting and driving in 2016. But, the company Cellebrite has made a solution to this. They have made something that can tell you right away if the person in the car crash was on their phone, called the Texalyzer. The piece of technology will go through the phone records and find out the last time the phone was used. This can definitely save America from many crashes but people are thinking differently. Some people think that the Texalyzer is disrupting people's privacy, and are saying things like don't you need a warrant.
When I was younger a very close family friend died in a car while texting and driving. It took a little over 6 months to find out if she really was. So, if we could have known earlier it would've been so much easier to take the news.

Horrifying Worldwide Cyberattack

This was an interesting story and it could be happening right now as you’re reading this. The world’s biggest cyber attack struck us and hit at least 150 countries, 300,000 machines. According to the EU, “The number of infected computers has not increased as expected, which is a success.” A lot of major global companies were hit, for example, Fedex has experienced interference with some of their windows caused by malware. The people that got struck had to pay a ransom to get all of their encrypted files back. People in Germany train stations are seeing hacked ticket machines showing wrong times. Also, if an office worker opens an infected PDF attached to an email, soon everyone in the office could be under attack. That was "unheard of six months ago," Levy said. Previous attacks targeted one machine at time.
