Smart Crib, Sno

A lot of parents who have newborns have restless nights trying to put their baby to sleep and make them stop crying. So, Dr. Harvey Karp teamed up with MIT engineers and designer Yves Behar to create the first smart and the safest crib yet. They called it the Snoo, a $1,150 smart sleeper. The crib includes a swaddle blanket to prevent the baby from rolling in to dangerous positions. Babies can die from these positions and in fact 3,500 babies die a year in there sleep. The crib also has three built in microphones which can detect baby’s cry. As soon a the microphones hear the baby wailing it will play a white noise machine depending on the cry, the softer the cry the softer the noise machine, but the louder the cry the louder the white noise machine. It also starts rocking the baby to help them fall back asleep. All you have to do to turn it on is press a small button at the bottom of the crib.
