Did you know that Toyota wants flying cars in time for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics? Toyota has been working on a vehicle that will soar 33 feet in the air at speeds up to 62 miles per hour. The “Skydrive” as Toyota calls it, is being worked on by 30 volunteers and they are aiming for it to be advertised by next year! The 9 and a half foot long car would be the “world’s smallest flying EV” (electric vehicle), and possibly the first commercialized flying car. Toyota has paid $353,000 for the engineers that are helping to create this car and invested a whopping $9.3 million on new technology. I believe that this idea of flying cars is very futuristic and a little bit scary, but I would love to be able to fly whenever I wanted!
